Beginning Learn-to-Knit or Learn-to-Crochet In-store Class

Longing to create the latest knitwear fashion, cuddle up in your own hand-made socks, or want to crochet the latest trendy accessory?

We offer a private one-on-one lesson in either Beginning Knitting or Beginnning Crocheting. No prior experience is necessary. You are the star of the event, with the full attention of the instructor for a 2-hour session in our Merchant Square store in downtown colonial Williamsburg, VA.

In the class, you will begin immediately to create a project....your choice of a hat with a fold-up brim, a pair of fingerless mitts or a cowl (neck ring). Each project includes learning the same skills, including beginning, working the stitches, seaming the project at the end and weaving in yarn ends. The instructor will discuss the attributes of the yarn and its label, define terms and make the pattern clear, teach you to form the stitches and assist you every step of the way. At the end of the class you will be well on your way and can finish at home. If for some reason, you get home and forget what was said, drop a stitch or just need assistance in getting started again, bring the work, kit and pattern back to the store during business hours and we will help you get back on track...at no additional cost. We're here to help you be a success at your new fiber hobby.

The Class:
$60.00 includes all yarn, needles or hook, darning needle, pattern needed for your project and the instructor's time for the full 2 hours. Additional assistance at a later time is available at no cost during store business hours.

Classes are set on an appointment basis when the instructor is in the store and available for your schedule.

If you already know how to knit or crochet and just want a refresher or need help with a current project, this class is not designed for you. However, we can help you using our "Knitting 911" or "Crochet 911" programs, where you just come into the store and get help on your personal project during business hours without an appointment...always at no cost.
